Bichectomy
Bichectomy is an oral surgery procedure that reduces the volume of Bichat's fat pads and, in selected patients, can provide greater definition to the cheekbones and facial contours.

Bichat's fat pads are deep fatty structures located in the cheeks. Their volume does not necessarily increase with weight changes in the same way as body fat, which is why some people maintain a fuller cheek area even when they are thin or after losing weight.
Through carefully planned volume reduction, it is possible to decrease the projection of the cheeks and naturally highlight the cheekbones, creating greater definition between the malar region and the mandibular contour.

Brazilian Minimally Invasive Technique
At The Velvet Touch Clinic, we use an approach based on a Brazilian technique for minimally invasive bichectomy.
The procedure is performed through a small incision inside the mouth, leaving no visible external scar, prioritizing minimal tissue manipulation and carefully controlled removal of the Bichat's fat pads.
This approach aims to reduce surgical trauma and promote a more comfortable postoperative period, with edema and discomfort generally manageable.
Recovery varies from patient to patient, but most can gradually return to their usual routine in the days following the procedure.
How does the treatment proceed?
